Our probate service is designed to take all the responsibility of administering an estate off your shoulders. This is how we will work and what we will do for you:
How we work
- When you contact us, we’ll first of all make sure there are no urgent issues which you need to deal with straightaway. We’ll give you advice on what you need to do, as some things in the early stages are important and easily missed.
- When you’re ready, we’ll arrange to meet with you – whether that’s in person or via Zoom – to find out more about the extent of the deceased’s estate and their circumstances. We’ll look at the work involved which will be needed to administer the estate.
- We work with some of the best probate companies in the UK. We’ll provide you with a written quote within 48 hours from the most appropriate provider. This will only reflect the amount of work we’ll do – no more and no less. We don’t charge fees based on a percentage of the value of the estate. Our fees will be fixed, with no hidden charges. We will clearly explain exactly what the charges are for.
- Once you’ve engaged us, we’ll immediately start working. We’ll manage all issues relating to tax, financial, legal and property in the estate.
- We’ll work with HMRC and arrange for any inheritance tax to be paid. We’ll extract the grant of probate and recover all assets of the deceased. Once all assets have been recovered, we’ll pay expenses, debts and outstanding tax and finally distribute the estate.
- We will keep in touch with you regularly and update you on progress. We will be available to answer any questions you might have during the process.
- We will pay out inheritances to beneficiaries as quickly as possible.
- We take our fees from the net estate when we distribute to benefciaries only when all work has been completed, and you’re happy with the work we’ve done.
